Download Architectural/Engineering Scale
These dwg files were created to assist archtectural,
engineering and mechanical engineers who use AutoCad 2000 (they were
designed in AutoCad 2000 but can be saved in a earlier version with the
proper Acad program). The drawings are of architectural and engineering scales drawn
to exact mathematical dimensions at 1:1 scale. The drawings can be
useful to various designers who create architectural, mechanical, and
engineering drawings (both 2D and 3D)and who would like an on-going
measure of the accuracy of their designs. The drawings can be inserted into AutoCad 2000 at a 1:1 scale
(But not exploded!) and used to adequately measure 2D and 3D
architectural, engineering, and mechanical drawings. The architectural scale contains the standard 1, 1/2, 1/8,
1/4, 3/8, 3/4, 1 1/2, 3, 3/32, 3/16, and 16 dimensions on a standard
architectural scale. The engineering scale contains the 10, 20, 30, 40,
50, and 60 dimensions on the standard engineering scale. The drawings once inserted into a drwaing can be rotated to
the correct scale dimensions needed with the 3D ROTATE Command in
AutoCad 2000 (the angular distance between each scale horizontal
dimension point is 120 degrees as on a standard scale). I have found these two scales very useful when I use them to
measure my architectural and mechanical drawings on an on going basis
as I am developing them. Also, I have found them useful when I receive
other drawings either on the internet or on cd and I need to measure
the internal dimensions of a drawing. The scales are easier i found
than using the DIST, LIST, or AREA commands of Autocad because as an
inserted block the layers for each dimension were created seperately
and can be turned off individually without affecting the scales needed
dimension and the scale itself can be dynamically moved over a drawing
to measure different points and locations on a drawing. The author hope Autocad users find they just as useful.
